Job Description:
Budgeting & Reporting •Budget/forecast and monitor expenses, including the preparation of monthly/quarterly detailed functional expense analysis for review with senior EO management
•Coordinate global firmwide charitable budget; liaise with firmwide CFOs and Planning & Analysis team in Corporate Controller’s in preparing related budgets and monitoring actual expenses. Prepare related reporting, including reports provided to senior Exec Office management.
•Responsible for EO vendor management compliance, including onboarding of new vendors, monitoring of existing relationships and maintaining policies and documentation
•Perform due diligence on charitable payment requests, including tax-exempt status (501-c-3) and certain other compliance of prospective grantees
•Maintain the firm’s charitable subledger, perform reconciliations to the firm’s general ledger
•Support Tax Department with quarterly and annual requests •Perform due diligence on grantee payment requests
•Work with Office of Corporate Engagement and Asset Management Investment Team to forecast cash flows and ensure proper funding of operating expenses and investments
•Record monthly journal entries and assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements; assist in preparation of audited annual financial statements
•Perform monthly analysis and reconciliations to ensure financial reporting is correct
•Assist with the preparation and review of the annual tax filings (form 990PF, 990T, FBAR) to the IRS. Prepare quarterly estimated state and federal tax payments
•Support External Auditors during financial statement audit and quarterly/annual tax return preparation
Requirements / Qualifications:
Previous experience in a Controllers environment with budgeting and strong inter-personal and communication skills.
