Position Description   Trader’s Responsibility
1. Timely and best effort execution of agency MBS trade (TBA, Specified pools, CMO, derivative).
2. Assist interest rate trade (Treasury, future, swap, Eurodollar)
3. Monitor Portfolio risk measure and compliance to investment guideline
4. Act as eye and ear for the portfolio management team.
a. Keep track agency mortgage market daily performance and flow
b. Keep track of sector relative value time series
c. Regularly run dealer offers and bid list, identify best value across sectors
5. On daily basis, keep track of trade performance, verify security price mark, monitor portfolio P&L
6. Monthly prepayment tracking, update of GSE/bank activity, CMO production and agency MBS flow
7. Monitor mortgage related economic data, interest volatility premium, mortgage application, housing stat, primary mortgage rate

Requirements / Qualifications:

1. Fixed income knowledge

 

2. Trading experience (3 to 5 year) in agency MBS TBA, specified pools, CMO and agency MBS derivative. Also trading experience in Treasury, future, swap and EuroDollar

 

3. Analytic skills, familiar with Yieldbook/Bondstudio/Lehman Live and Intex

 

4. Great communication skill. Good listening skill

 

5. Attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and deliver under pressure

 

6. Driven, ready to take on responsibility
