Job Description:
• Reporting and analysis on firmwide results for internal reporting purposes, including:
• Producing the firmwide daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting packages that documents and supports the firmwide results.
• Providing detailed analysis on revenue results for the certain businesses in preparation of the external reporting process.
• Provide detailed variance analysis related to the firm’s operating expenses.
• Interact with numerous internal departments including Corporate Accounting, Product Controllers, Market Risk, Treasury, Investor Relations and Divisional finance teams.
• Contribute to the production, review and analysis of the monthly reporting package for the firm’s Management Committee.
• Prepare varied ad hoc reporting.
• Maintain support documentation in accordance with internal policies and procedures as well as in accordance with requirements established under the Sarbanes-Oxley legislation.
Requirements / Qualifications:
• Degree in Accounting (preferred), Finance or other business discipline a must.
• Financial services industry experience is preferable.
• Minimum 2 + years work experience.
• Excellent Excel and Word are required. Powerpoint, Essbase and Peoplesoft skills are a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, multitasking abilities.
• Excellent writing skills, particularly with spelling, grammar, structure and vocabulary, are a must. An understanding of financial product terminology is preferable.
• Extremely organized, e.g., being able to manage several successive drafts of documents, time management and efficiency
• Strong analytical skills, i.e., being able to identify and research issues.
• Results driven.
