Summary

This company is seeking a motivated team player to join its Management Company Accounting team as an Associate with a focus on compensation-related projects that require high ethical standards and measured discretion.

Company Information:

We have a significant presence in the world’s capital markets, investing in a wide range of companies and financial instruments in both developed and developing economies.  Our firm has been built in part by attempting to do what other companies might consider impossible, or never imagine at all. A single transformative idea that ultimately works—for a new business, a new trading model, or an improved back office process—is worth a dozen ideas that lead nowhere. We’ve learned that when an extraordinary team sets extraordinarily ambitious goals, astonishing breakthroughs can be expected.

Job Description:

This role offers exposure to the economic, cash management, and distribution-related factors that impact the management company results for a large and complex global hedge fund. As an Associate, you will gain exposure to a broad range of the firm’s activities while collaborating with our Tax, Financial Reporting, Human Capital, and Legal departments.

Requirements / Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and between one and two years of experience in an accounting, reporting, or human capital function at a hedge fund, investment manager, or other financial services firm, though talented candidates without such experience will be considered. Excellent communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and quantitative skills are required, as are the ability to collaborate and work independently. Such candidates will also be proactive and have an aptitude for accounting and a facility with numbers. Successful candidates will also possess exceptional organizational and project management skills, a keen eye for detail, Microsoft Excel skills, and a robust work ethic.
