Summary

This role will support both the origination and portfolio management functions and will focus on data analytics, application development and process automation to accurately manage data within the company’s proprietary pipeline and portfolio management systems. In addition, this role will prepare schedule of investments for the middlemarket private debt funds, while calculating applicable fund level metrics. This individual will report directly to the COO of Private Debt and Head of Operations, and will be based in the New York office.

This company invests across the global credit spectrum and its products include long/short liquid credit hedge funds, special situation, middle-market direct lending, long-only credit including CLO’s and a commercial real estate business.


Job Description:

• Design and implement an origination pipeline tool (likely either DealCloud or Salesforce)

• Work closely with the deal team to ensure complete and accurate deal metrics on a timely basis

• Build custom dashboards and reporting to support senior management and business development

• Derive and house origination analytics on both deals completed internally and externally

• Build and maintain marketing materials for the Private Debt team, quarterly newsletter and website

• Compile benchmarking data as it relates to deal comps

• Track deals done away and competitor analysis

• Take on ad hoc requests from upper level management (i.e. portfolio management, data analytics, calculating portfolio yields, running allocations for deals)


Requirements / Qualifications:

• 2 – 4 years of experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics

• Expert knowledge of MS Excel, data analytics and application development

• Strong analytical, comprehension and problem solving skills

• An understanding of the financial and investment markets, specifically credit

• Ability to master new tasks quickly with a superior attention to detail

• Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple and rapidly changing assignments
