Summary

This role of Senior Accountant, reporting to the Assistant Controller, will be an important component of the Strategic Accounting and Finance team in New York. The Senior Accountant will play an important part of the monthly reporting process and will be responsible for the review of the work of junior accountants as outlined in the detail description. This role requires a professional, dependable, energetic individual with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously to meet tight deadlines.

Job Description:

− Assist the Assistant Controller with the preparation of the reporting package and consolidation.

− Assist the Assistant Controller with financial statement preparation and footnote disclosures.

− Assist the Assistant Controller on various accounting projects

− Assist the team with month-end close items

− Review various close areas prepared by junior accountants

− Assist the team with the preparation of Management Reporting Deliverables

− Assist the team with ad hoc projects as directed by the Controller


Requirements / Qualifications:

− Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounting required.

− Detail oriented a must

− Understanding of and sensitivity to confidential information a must

− Excellent computer skills required, especially with the Microsoft Office product suite, especially excel

− Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication and organizational skills

− Ability to drive projects to completion independently, while also functioning effectively in a team environment

− CPA a plus
