Job Description:
- Perform month-end close reconciliations and participate in month-end close activities by ensuring transactions are recorded timely and accurately
- Assist with Accounts Payable processing (AvidXchange) and analysis
- Prepare and post journal entries, along with the preparation of the supporting workpaper
- Prepare excel files to support financial statements footnotes and MD&A, ensure footing and recalculations on financial statements are accurate
- Perform monthly and quarterly control documentation as part of monthly close process and compliance testing related to SOX for responsible areas
- Prepare and review financial statements on a monthly and quarterly basis and other ad hoc analysis
- Collaborate with various internal and external teams within Middle Office, Senior Finance Professionals, external Audit Team, News Wire Services, SEC, Workiva / XBRL, and Tax.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- 0-2 years (public accounting experience, CPA/CPA candidate a plus)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other workplace technologies.
- Proficiency in financial services, preferably in fixed income or mortgage-backed securities.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and desire to coordinate among various internal and external parties.
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized with the ability to be productive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on multiple projects to enhance processes.
- Familiarity with Workiva a plus
- Familiarity with BlackRock ALADIN and Clearwater Analytics a plus
