Job Description:

• Be one of the primary liaisons between the corporate accounting group and the different business groups (i.e. – private equity funds and hedge funds).
• Review fund legal documents to understand various fund structures and the firm’s rights and economics for each vehicle (ie – management fee, incentive fee, equity interest).
• Prepare detailed US GAAP and IFRS accounting memorandum on transaction related activities, including consolidation accounting and revenue recognition.
• Prepare or review detailed transactional supporting schedules and communicate results. Identify potential issues and possible solutions to senior management.
• Actively coach and review work of team members.
• Review monthly reporting packages and files provided by the business groups for reasonableness in determining whether the calculation and disclosure of management fees, incentive allocation, and equity pick-up is complete and accurate.
• Prepare or review revenue and balance sheet analytics and provide explanations for significant variances.
• Draft certain financial statement footnotes and MD&A sections in the firm’s quarterly and annual reports.
• Prepare and maintain internal control documentation.
• Coordinate activities of internal and external auditors and other consultants.
• Assist with various special projects on an ad hoc basis.


Requirements / Qualifications:

CPA license and have about 4-8 years of public accounting and/or private accounting experience with private company accounting and public company accounting.

Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 is a plus.

Flexible to industry experience, Financial Services a plus
