Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Serve a critical role analyzing real estate investment opportunities as part of a dedicated real estate investment team
- Support the investment sourcing and management team responsible for opportunistic equity, high-yield debt and platform investments
- Analysis of property and portfolio economics primarily utilizing Excel modeling and other industry-specific software (e.g. Argus) and property market data research (i.e. supply and demand analysis)
- Preparation of investment memoranda
- Investment/portfolio monitoring and ad hoc asset management responsibilities
- Work within a small team (<10 people) but will be called upon often to work autonomously
- The position will require some travel, but not extensively
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Outstanding Excel skills, exceptional quantitative analysis skills, high critical thinking aptitude, and strong communication ability
- Top tier university undergraduate degree
- 2-4 years of experience of previous real estate analysis at top level firms (ideally generalist across asset classes and opportunity types) preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Ambition to take on additional autonomy over time
- Understanding of corporate finance and/or REITs is a plus
- Self-starter who generates the necessary questions along with how to diligence and package them
