Job Description:
- In-charge responsible for launch of initial RIC, including building controls and onboarding service providers
- Work in conjunction with fund accountant and administrator to maintain daily books/NAV
- Review financial controls and reporting obligations to assure fund is meeting all regulatory requirements
- Manage the quarterly and annual regulatory process, including filings of 10-K and 10-Q
- Responsible for preparing/reviewing quarterly board materials
- Lead in-charge responsible for overseeing and working with auditors on the annual financial statements
- Assist with requests internally from business development, performance, legal and compliance groups
- Integral part of a team to run all reporting and accounting functions, make decisions, and set/improve procedures
- Coach and mentor staff
Requirements / Qualifications:
- 7+ years’ experience with prior experience – public accounting experience and CPA preferred
- Advanced knowledge of SEC requirements, including filing requirements
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP reporting, financial statement and note compilation, including accounting pronouncement research, master/feeder accounting, partnership allocations and series accounting
- Understanding of the following products: private credit, structured credit, bonds, bank debt, equities and swaps.
- Ability to oversee fund accountants, management experience required
