This finance group is looking for an associate level candidate to support their Transaction Management team in the administration and execution of all credit-related transactions of the firm at their NYC office.

Job Description:
- Assist the Director, Credit Transactions, in the investigation, evaluation and recommendation of new deal opportunities for inclusion in the Company’s credit transaction pipeline.
- Support the credit transaction due diligence process.
- Assist, and coordinate with, internal constituencies, including credit, data, operations, finance, legal and compliance in moving credit transactions from lead to closing.
- Track and report on deal progress using standard time-and-responsibility checklists and closing deliverables.
- Coordinate and/or perform deal-related administrative tasks, including the opening of transaction-related bank accounts and the retention of third-party support providers, including paying agents, backup servicers and verification agents.
- Working with Director, Credit Transactions, prepare pro forma debt capital structures; working with Transaction Attorney, Credit Transactions, obtain and review all borrower counterparty disclosure schedules.
- Prepare closing date flow-of-funds and settlement statements, including final borrowing bases, closing date advances, co-lender funding amounts, third-party invoices and other payables, and related wire instructions.
- Obtain, verify and maintain final closing sets and copies of all post-closing amendments, waivers and renewals.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in finance, investment banking, private credit, or a related field, with a focus on financial analysis or credit transactions preferred.
- Foundational understanding of credit transaction structures, including asset-based warehouse credit facilities, term loans and/or syndicated loans.
- Solid grasp of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) and credit metrics.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; some experience with financial software and databases is a plus.
