Job Description:
  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Lead the preparation of quarterly board materials; provide strategic thought partnership to the CEO and BOD to significantly influence strategic direction and priorities of the company; lead financial due diligence and integration for acquisitions
  • Track, predict, and manage cash flow, including a rolling 13-week report
  • Manage comprehensive accounting functions, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting and Revenue Recognition
  • Prepare and present timely and accurate monthly financial statements; create all models for lender and internal purposes
  • Develop and manage the financial integration plan for new acquisitions; make recommendations for improved processes
  • Manage creation of the annual budget; track budget-to-actuals on a monthly basis and reforecast as needed; manage dashboard metrics; lead annual audit and develop a strong relationship with the audit teams
  • Ensure all taxes are filed in a timely, complete, and accurate manner
  • Analyze service-line and location-based profitability; recommend actions to improve financial performance across the company

Requirements / Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including prior M&A or CFO roles (strong preference for candidates with both)
  • Proven expertise in operations finance with a hands-on approach and success in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Strong executive presence, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization, from the boardroom to the classroom
  • Passion for vocational training, education, and the commercial transportation industry
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • Prior experience with small and mid-sized private equity-backed companies, vocational or educational services, franchising or transportation is highly desirable
