Job Description:

• Oversee financial reporting and ensuring compliance with regulations (GAAP)
• Review monthly subcontractor expenses, ledgers, and financial reports for accuracy and request
adjustment of journal entries as necessary
• Provide detailed variance explanations to leadership, Property Management and Asset Management
• Manage accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, and payroll
• Adjust or initiate new billing policies and procedures as needed
• Determine annual recurring contract escalations and verify upload
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecast and financial performance
• Develop annual budgets, track variances, and provide quarterly forecasts
• Ensure contract increases are effectively communicated to all customers (tenants) via escalation letters
• Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure accuracy
• Perform other duties as assigned


Requirements / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a similar field is required
  • At least 8 years of accounting experience required in private/public accounting and/or real estate
    accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Controller, preferably in cleaning services, facilities management or
    real estate
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook and Word), Microsoft Dynamics D365 and
    advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Effective oral, reading, listening, and written communication skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations and critical issues effectively and accurately
  • Strong organization, time management, and project management skills
  • Acts with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, administrative, and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for ensuring billables are completed in a timely and accurate fashion
