Job Description:
Reporting directly to the CFO, the firm is looking to make its first hire in Tax and is looking for a strong tax professional to help build out the policies and procedures. The role will be responsible for all day-to-day tax operations, including the accuracy and timeliness of compliance and tax reporting matters. It also will work with partners across the organization, including the Accounting, Treasury, HR, Finance, and Legal teams to optimize exiting processes, solve business challenges, design new workflows, and implement new technology solutions to drive efficient and accurate reporting.
Compensation: $250,000 Base Salary + Bonus (30-40%)

Role Overview
As a tax manager you will be responsible for managing and coordinating tax compliance matters for a large array of entities, including management companies, investment advisors, insurance companies, regulated investment companies (RICs), real estate investment trusts (REITs), and others. You would work on key issues in domestic federal, international and state and local taxation with a focus on implementing tax strategies that align with the firm’s business objectives. You will review extensive securities analysis, identify appropriate tax adjustments, and provide sign-off for the production and delivery of tax returns and underlying schedules, K-1’s and other external communications. You will be responsible for reviewing partnership agreements and private placement memorandums for tax implications of items such as book and tax allocations, stuffing provisions, management and incentive fees as well as run the day to day activities on the accounts that are spread across various locations.
