Job Description:
- Direct all aspects of finance operations, including fully managing the company’s budget process, maintaining the long-range business forecasting, handling daily, weekly and monthly financial analysis of core business metrics, and preparing monthly financial statements
- Manage aspects of time reporting and project accounting, project billing (including interaction with portfolio companies and investment professionals), third party customer service and audit and interaction with the company related to control and accounting
- Maintain and oversee daily operations of the department (transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables and etc.)
- Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management.
- Assisting senior management in financial planning and results management. Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.
- Upgrade and implement an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and procedures
- Deliver monthly/quarterly analysis and reporting of financial results, including variances to business’ plan, to ensure key issues, risks, and business drivers are clearly understood and highlighted
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting. Advanced degrees a plus
- 5-8 years’ experience; mix of public and private preferred
- CPA preferred
- Extensive knowledge of enterprise software, recurring revenue, and partner-driven models; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central a plus
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Highly advanced financial modeling and powerpoint / presentation skills
- Forward-thinking, analytical and problem-solving mindset, drawn to building off of ambiguous and unsolved problems and “making it happen”
- Should understand revenue & cost recognition principals as they relate to technology companies
