Our client a leading Alternative Asset Manager is looking for Junior Valuations Analyst!

Job Description:
- Perform and review valuation analyses on a wide range of private equity and real estate investments broadly distributed across industries and geographies while using accepted and relevant approaches and theory
- Analyze financial models including discounted cash flows, market multiples and transaction approaches, option pricing analyses, PWERM, etc.
- Provide management with valuation updates and portfolio analytics
- Liaise with colleagues across the firm (investment professionals, middle and back office) to better understand and document rationale and evidence of fair value
- Assist the firm in developing and evaluating valuation processes and procedures, conducting periodic reviews of the valuation framework, and evaluating the overall fairness and consistent application of the valuation policies
- Determine and track relevant model inputs and KPIs to assist in management and performance reporting
- Liaise with third party valuation service providers and auditors during their regular and ad hoc reviews of the private investment book
- Coordinate with fund accounting, operations, tax, and risk teams on various tasks including reporting, reconciliation, and structuring
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or MBA
- 2-5 years of financial services/audit experience
- Knowledge of private equity, real estate, structured product valuation techniques and ASC 820 fair value hierarchy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of various software applications, primarily MS Excel (Bloomberg, CapIQ, Python, Tableau are a plus)
- Comfort interacting with those who possess intense product knowledge but also with those who are relatively unfamiliar with those products, to effectively bridge understanding
- Demonstrated ability to connect, collaborate and communicate effectively
