As part of the Firmwide Legal Recruiting & Development Department (LRD), the Firmwide Legal Recruiting Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting campus legal recruiting initiatives across the firm.

Job Description:

On-Campus Recruiting:

  • Collaborate with various Kirkland offices and departments to identify and implement best practices.
  • Develop, prepare, and analyze reports, projections, and statistical data relevant to recruiting efforts.
  • Schedule and coordinate screening and callback interviews, ensuring timely follow-up for feedback from attorneys.
  • Manage school information charts, including CSO contacts, transcript release dates, and final examination schedules.
  • Coordinate and participate in recruitment events.
  • Prepare and analyze post-recruiting surveys for 1L and 2L candidates.
  • Track candidate pipeline information using Vi.
  • Support local office recruiting teams with their initiatives.

Campus Outreach:

  • Plan and execute outreach activities for law schools and law students, including panels, podcasts, presentations, receptions, and mentoring programs.
  • Manage sponsorship requests from student organizations.
  • Set up and monitor events using Flo Recruit.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to update and maintain campus engagement materials, website content, and outreach resources.
  • Track and analyze post-event attorney feedback in Vi.
  • Oversee the Firmwide Event Tracking process.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Delegate tasks to coordinators and assistants as needed.
  • Provide training for coordinators, assistants, contract workers, and interns.
  • Maintain recruiting timelines for various events and projects.
  • Update team documentation and OneNote binders.
  • Draft and distribute team communications.
  • Respond to inquiries from attorneys and staff promptly.
  • Utilize the Novi Survey tool to generate surveys.
  • Support the Summer Associate Program and the orientation process for Summer and New Associates, along with other LRD initiatives as necessary.
  • Actively engage with internal and external clients, providing thorough and courteous responses to their needs; willingly share expertise and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Proactive and able to work well under pressure, managing multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels while maintaining confidentiality.
  • A strong team player with a commitment to client service, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with Symplicity, Flo Recruit, and ViDesktop is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel is required.
