Job Description:
In the role of Manager, Commodities Fund Accounting, in the Houston office the employee will be responsible for the following:
- Responsible for global month-end close process for energy commodity transactions, both physical and financial
- Responsible for the commodities settlement’s process
- Support the implementation of the ETRM system focusing on Accounting and Settlements
- Support the implementation of the scheduling and actualizing pipelines
- Support preparation of accounting policies, process flows, and internal controls to support future state physical trading activities
- Preparing NAV reports to management for multiple investment vehicles
- Handling of the reconciliation between the system and fund admins as well as resolving any breaks
- Review financial statements as well as working with the team on the monthly investor allocations including management and incentive fee calculations
- Work closely with the Fund Accounting, Operations, Valuations, Compliance teams and other Key Business Partners for regulatory reports, internal/external audits, and filings
Requirements / Qualifications:
- 15 years’ experience in physical commodities including storage, transportation, and park-and-loans (PALs), pipeline actualization, and settlements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
- Working knowledge of Endur or a similar ETRM system
- Licensed CPA is not required but preferred
- Working knowledge of Snowflake is preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
