Job Description:
- Identify and source new investment opportunities through extensive networking and market research.
- Evaluate and analyze potential investment opportunities to determine fit with the fund’s investment strategy.
- Prioritize / attend industry conferences and events to enhance visibility and build a network of contacts.
- Collaborate with senior management to define and execute the business development strategy.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and potential threats.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of the fund’s investment strategy and value proposition.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investment banks, brokers, financial advisors, and potential portfolio companies.
- Ensure ongoing communication and follow-up with prospective and existing clients to foster long-term relationships.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degrees are a plus.
- 12+ years of experience in business development, investment banking, private credit, or related fields. Proven track record of successfully sourcing and closing investment deals.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills. • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Deep understanding of the private credit market and middle-market companies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
