An alternative investment manager is seeking a Vice President, Originations to lead the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of private credit investments across middle-market companies at their Connecticut office.

Job Description:
Develop and maintain relationships with investment banks, private equity firms, and financial sponsors to generate deal flow.
Actively source new investment opportunities in the middle-market credit space.
Perform detailed financial modeling and credit analysis to assess risk-return profiles.
- Analyze capital structures, industry trends, and macroeconomic conditions.
Work closely with the Portfolio Management team to ensure a smooth transition of new assets post-close.
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure documentation accuracy and regulatory adherence.
- Contribute to internal reporting and fundraising efforts by providing deal pipeline updates.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required
- Deep understanding of credit underwriting, covenant structures, and risk assessment.
- Familiarity with term sheets, legal documentation, and transaction structuring.
- High level of initiative, independence, and accountability in driving deal processes.
Proficient in financial modeling, including LBO, cash flow modeling, competency with market data platforms, and capital structure analysis.
