Our client, a global asset management firm, is seeking a Corporate Actions Operations Associate to join their Norwalk, CT office. This individual will be responsible for managing the end-to-end corporate actions lifecycle across multiple asset classes, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of mandatory and voluntary events. The ideal candidate will have experience within a hedge fund, asset manager, or financial services environment and possess strong knowledge of corporate actions, middle office operations, and investment operations. Responsibilities include:
- Manage the end-to-end processing of mandatory and voluntary corporate actions across multiple asset classes.
- Monitor upcoming corporate action events and ensure timely notification, processing, and reconciliation.
- Coordinate voluntary elections with Portfolio Managers, Prime Brokers, Custodians, and other external counterparties.
- Maintain corporate action records, transaction data, and supporting documentation to ensure data integrity.
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for corporate actions, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
- Investigate and resolve corporate action exceptions, breaks, and reconciliation discrepancies.
- Maintain EMS/OMS positions, security master, and other static reference data to support accurate trading and settlement.
- Perform daily start-of-day position sign-offs and validate holdings across internal systems.
- Partner with Trading, Portfolio Management, Operations, Technology, and external service providers to resolve operational issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automate manual processes, and enhance operational controls.
- Support operational risk initiatives, system enhancements, user acceptance testing (UAT), and ongoing process optimization.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of operations or middle office experience within a hedge fund, asset manager, or financial services organization.
- Hands-on experience processing corporate actions across multiple asset classes.
- Experience with S&P Global Corporate Actions platform and Geneva is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of investment operations, corporate action processing, and reconciliation workflows.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across Operations, Trading, Portfolio Management, and Technology teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Pay: $40/hr – $50/hr
