Our client, a global asset management firm, is seeking a Corporate Actions Operations Associate to join their Norwalk, CT office. This individual will be responsible for managing the end-to-end corporate actions lifecycle across multiple asset classes, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of mandatory and voluntary events. The ideal candidate will have experience within a hedge fund, asset manager, or financial services environment and possess strong knowledge of corporate actions, middle office operations, and investment operations. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the end-to-end processing of mandatory and voluntary corporate actions across multiple asset classes.
  • Monitor upcoming corporate action events and ensure timely notification, processing, and reconciliation.
  • Coordinate voluntary elections with Portfolio Managers, Prime Brokers, Custodians, and other external counterparties.
  • Maintain corporate action records, transaction data, and supporting documentation to ensure data integrity.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for corporate actions, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
  • Investigate and resolve corporate action exceptions, breaks, and reconciliation discrepancies.
  • Maintain EMS/OMS positions, security master, and other static reference data to support accurate trading and settlement.
  • Perform daily start-of-day position sign-offs and validate holdings across internal systems.
  • Partner with Trading, Portfolio Management, Operations, Technology, and external service providers to resolve operational issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automate manual processes, and enhance operational controls.
  • Support operational risk initiatives, system enhancements, user acceptance testing (UAT), and ongoing process optimization.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of operations or middle office experience within a hedge fund, asset manager, or financial services organization.
  • Hands-on experience processing corporate actions across multiple asset classes.
  • Experience with S&P Global Corporate Actions platform and Geneva is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of investment operations, corporate action processing, and reconciliation workflows.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across Operations, Trading, Portfolio Management, and Technology teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.

Pay: $40/hr – $50/hr
