Our client, a global investment management firm based in New York, NY,  is looking for a Data Engineer/Analyst with 3+ years of experience who brings strong technical skills and a solid understanding of financial services—ideally from an investment bank or asset management environment. This is a highly cross-functional role, partnering closely with Portfolio Managers and Research while supporting multiple business units across the firm. Candidates must have strong SQL, Snowflake and Python skills.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Work across business units to support data and reporting needs, with significant interaction with PMs and Research teams
  • Write and optimize SQL queries and support data workflows in Snowflake
  • Use Python to support analytics, automation, and data processing initiatives
  • Build and maintain reporting and dashboard solutions using tools such as SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms
  • Contribute to project-based initiatives, supporting delivery and execution across stakeholders
  • Support data needs tied to the trade lifecycle, primarily focused on equities
  • Leverage market data tools such as Bloomberg or comparable platforms to support data analysis and reporting

Requirements Include:
  • 3+ years of relevant experience within data at an investment banking or asset management firm
  • Hands-on experience with SQL (querying and coding), Snowflake, Python
  • BI/reporting tools (e.g., SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Project experience supporting cross-functional delivery
  • Understanding of trade lifecycle
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg or other market data systems
  • Data modeling experience is a strong plus

Pay: $60/hr-$80/hr
