Our client, a premier global asset management firm headquartered in New York, NY, is seeking an experienced Operational Risk professional to lead firmwide process review and documentation initiatives. The role partners closely with stakeholders across business and control functions to assess existing workflows and to document complex processes, translating them into clear, well-structured policies and procedures. Prior exposure to vendor platforms including Charles River, VMP, and Cashwire preferred.
Responsibilities include:
- Assess, review, and document end-to-end operational processes across the firm, including but not limited to Technology, Risk, and Finance functions
- Identify control gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process enhancement
- Develop, formalize, and maintain comprehensive policy and procedure manuals aligned with industry best practices and regulatory expectations
- Partner with senior management and business heads to ensure policies and procedures accurately reflect business operations and governance standards
- Support ongoing operational risk management initiatives, including process standardization and documentation governance
Requirements
- 5+ years in Operational Risk, Process Risk, or a related function within an investment management or financial services environment
- Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks, internal controls, and governance practices
- Prior exposure to vendor platforms including Charles River, VMP, and Cashwire preferred
- Proven ability to document complex processes and translate them into clear, formal policies and procedures
- Prior management consulting experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage senior-level stakeholders
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Pay: $70-$80/hr
