Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking a Structured Finance Back Office Servicing Specialist to join its Jersey City office on a 6-month temp-to-perm engagement. This role is ideal for professionals with 2–5 years of commercial lending operations experience and hands-on Loan IQ expertise. The position supports the full loan lifecycle, including loan booking, funding, repricings, paydowns, rollovers, interest and fee processing, cash movements, reconciliations, and the review of credit agreements. The ideal candidate has experience supporting syndicated loans from both the Agent and Participant perspective, possesses strong analytical and reconciliation skills, and thrives in a fast-paced back-office lending environment.
Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and authorize daily loan transactions.
- Book and service commercial loans, including Commercial Paper, non-performing, and direct/agented facilities.
- Prepare and review loan documentation for borrowings, rollovers, paydowns, commitment reductions, and other loan events.
- Process loan proceeds and manage daily cash movements.
- Calculate, reconcile, and bill interest and commitment fees.
- Investigate fee and interest discrepancies and resolve operational breaks.
- Reconcile open cash, suspense accounts, and past due balances.
- Prepare customer and participant loan notices and confirmations.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of Commercial lending experience using Loan IQ.
- Experience supporting syndicated loans as both Agent and Participant.
- Knowledge of loans, guarantees, and standby letters of credit.
- Understanding of loan servicing, interest calculations, and cash payments in USD and foreign currencies.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Pay Rate: $65-$70/hr
