Our client, a global investment management firm based in New York, NY, is looking for a Data Engineer/Analyst with 3+ years of experience who brings strong technical skills and a solid understanding of financial services—ideally from an investment bank or asset management environment. This is a highly cross-functional role, partnering closely with Portfolio Managers and Research while supporting multiple business units across the firm. Candidates must have strong SQL, Snowflake and Python skills.
Responsibilities Include:
- Work across business units to support data and reporting needs, with significant interaction with PMs and Research teams
- Write and optimize SQL queries and support data workflows in Snowflake
- Use Python to support analytics, automation, and data processing initiatives
- Build and maintain reporting and dashboard solutions using tools such as SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms
- Contribute to project-based initiatives, supporting delivery and execution across stakeholders
- Support data needs tied to the trade lifecycle, primarily focused on equities
- Leverage market data tools such as Bloomberg or comparable platforms to support data analysis and reporting
Requirements Include:
- 3+ years of relevant experience within data at an investment banking or asset management firm
- Hands-on experience with SQL (querying and coding), Snowflake, Python
- BI/reporting tools (e.g., SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Project experience supporting cross-functional delivery
- Understanding of trade lifecycle
- Familiarity with Bloomberg or other market data systems
- Data modeling experience is a strong plus
Pay: $60/hr-$80/hr
