Our client a law firm firm is looking to find a Facilities / General Services Clerk to help keep their office running smoothly. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys staying active, solving problems, and making sure every space is clean, stocked, and ready to go.
You’ll handle facilities requests, set up rooms for meetings and events, assist with office moves, and serve as a reliable point of contact for day-to-day building needs.
Responsibilities:
- Complete Facilities Department work orders and requests
- Set up and break down conference and multipurpose rooms for meetings and events
- Assist with office moves, furniture relocation, and moving boxes
- Assemble office furniture as needed
- Maintain offices, conference rooms, reception areas, pantries, restrooms, and common areas
- Restock conference rooms, copy rooms, coat closets, and pantries
- Monitor janitorial and facilities supply inventory
- Spot clean carpets and assist with cleaning and disinfecting
- Identify and report broken lighting, maintenance, and repair issues
- Assist and supervise outside vendors during maintenance and repair work
- Handle other general facilities requests as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or 5 years of related work experience
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and comfort with physical, hands-on work
- Basic Windows and Microsoft Office skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliability and the ability to work independently
- Strong organization and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple requests
- A professional demeanor and the ability to maintain confidentiality
