Job Description:
- Support the management of the Firm’s distressed investment portfolio, primarily senior secured debt instruments, including one-stop facilities.
- Assist in developing and executing strategies to maximize recoveries and mitigate potential losses.
- Prepare and analyze financial models evaluating various restructuring and recovery scenarios.
- Help draft restructuring, amendment, and waiver requests, as well as written portfolio updates.
- Develop analytical frameworks and sensitivity analyses to assess downside and recovery outcomes.
- Participate in negotiations with key stakeholders, including financial sponsors, company management teams, bank group members, and other lenders across the capital structure.
- Prepare recurring portfolio monitoring and performance reports.
- Provide ad hoc analytical and execution support to senior team members as required.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related financial discipline, with a strong record of academic achievement.
- Approximately three years of experience in a finance role, ideally within credit restructuring, leveraged finance, investment banking, or commercial banking.
- Experience in leveraged lending preferred (excluding high yield), gained at a finance company, bank, BDC, or mezzanine fund.
- Formal credit training is a plus.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and research capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other relevant software applications.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven with strong execution skills.
- Experience working with financial sponsors preferred.
- Enthusiastic about working primarily in-office and contributing to a Gold Standard hybrid work culture.
