Job Description:
- Lead the execution of financing transactions, overseeing financial modeling, due diligence processes, and preparation of Investment Committee materials.
- Support origination efforts by assessing new investment opportunities and assisting senior team members with sponsor and GP coverage.
- Oversee underwriting workflows across legal, accounting, tax, and operational workstreams.
- Conduct rigorous credit analysis on asset managers and fund portfolios, including cash-flow modeling and collateral assessment.
- Prepare and present investment memoranda and related materials to the Investment Committee.
- Monitor existing investments and manage portfolio surveillance activities, including covenant compliance and performance tracking.
- Collaborate closely with internal functions (legal, operations, compliance) and external advisors (counsel, consultants, financing partners).
- Mentor and oversee junior team members within the investment group.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of six years of experience in investment banking, private credit, structured finance, fund finance, or other closely related fields.
- Demonstrated track record of underwriting any of the following: direct lending transactions, NAV facilities, or other structured credit solutions for alternative asset managers.
- Knowledge of insurance company general accounts, regulatory capital requirements, and ALM frameworks is advantageous.
- Strong command of credit risk assessment, fund structures, and private markets asset classes.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly self-driven, resourceful, and effective in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
