Job Description:
  • Assessing potential investment opportunities through business and financial due diligence, including qualitative and quantitative risk/return analysis.
  • Building and maintaining financial and valuation models to evaluate performance, analyze loan-level data, perform scenario sensitivities, and support investment recommendations.
  • Monitoring portfolio companies and strategic positions, proactively identifying risks and opportunities to manage exposures.
  • Preparing clear and thorough investment memos outlining opportunities and associated risks.
  • Supporting investment structuring, negotiation, and execution.
  • Staying informed on market trends and regulatory developments affecting relevant asset classes.
  • Collaborating internally and maintaining professional relationships with key counterparties and sell-side partners.

Requirements / Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, structured credit, securitized products trading, private equity, or buy-side investing.
  • Experience in a formal investment banking program with exposure to transaction execution and financial analysis is strongly preferred.
  • Sell-side trading or research experience in residential mortgage- or asset-backed securities is a plus.
  • Buy-side experience building financial models, analyzing loan-level data, performing due diligence, preparing investment materials, and supporting deal execution is advantageous.
  • Strong financial modeling and Excel skills; familiarity with Intex, Bloomberg, or Python is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Quick learner with a versatile skill set, intellectual curiosity, and a strong investment appetite.
