Job Description:
• Help process invoices, employee expense reports, and vendor payments.
• Assist with managing and maintaining the firm’s expense allocation system and preparing allocation reports.
• Support the calculation and review of complex allocations of trading expenses across multiple teams, strategies, and products.
• Help with vendor onboarding, due diligence, and ongoing relationship management.
• Assist with month-end close activities, such as bank reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Support intercompany expense tracking and settlements.
• Help prepare documentation for audits, compliance, and regulatory requests.
• Maintain organized records of accounting policies, procedures, and financial data.
• Work with teammates to improve processes and increase efficiency.
• Provide ad-hoc support to the Finance team on projects and reporting needs.
Requirements / Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Prior internship or work experience in accounting, accounts payable, or finance is helpful but not required.
• Basic understanding of debits/credits and an interest in learning more about financial reporting and expense management.
• Strong interest in learning about how trading expenses are shared across teams and how allocations affect fund operations.
• Familiarity with Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables) and an eagerness to expand skills.
• Familiarity with financial software and tools used (e.g., Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Expensify) a plus.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks at once.
• Excellent communicator and team collaborator with a growth mindset.
