Job Description:
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance back-end systems, APIs, and databases powering web and mobile products
- Architect scalable, secure, and efficient server-side solutions built to fintech-grade standards, capable of handling high transaction volumes
- Partner with front-end engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver features and services smoothly and reliably
- Champion strong engineering practices, including code quality, testing rigor, code reviews, and automated testing frameworks
- Advocate for the thoughtful adoption of AI to strengthen team performance and business outcomes
- Help cultivate a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning
Requirements / Qualifications:
- 10+ years of back-end development experience, including at least 2 years in a senior role
- Prior experience at a retail brokerage is required
- Hands-on experience with Node, Express, and TypeScript, including frameworks like Nest.js
- Strong SQL skills; some NoSQL exposure is a plus
- Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with caching and message queues such as Kafka
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
