Job Description:
- Uncover unmet customer needs and build capabilities to solve them, through data exploration, prototyping, and evaluation, followed by robust pipeline development
- Engineer scalable, maintainable data systems that capture the story of millions of U.S. small businesses using Databricks SQL, PySpark, and MLflow
- Build on top of modern data infrastructure designed for fast iteration and experimentation, orchestrated with Dagster and versioned with LakeFS
- Bring a first-principles, data-driven approach to problem-solving, favoring simple solutions while implementing state-of-the-art techniques when needed
- Help teammates do their best work while fostering a collaborative, supportive team culture
Requirements / Qualifications:
- 5+ years of engineering or data science experience, including 3+ years working on distributed data systems
- A track record of extracting value from data in creative, customer-focused ways
- Genuine drive to create value, learn fast, and ship and iterate quickly
- Strong collaboration skills and comfort working cross-functionally
- A principled, metrics-driven approach to complex data problems
- Experience building data products in entity resolution, sales, marketing, KYB, or credit underwriting a plus
