Job Description:
• Advise investment teams on the tax implications of corporate actions including mergers, spins, tenders, special dividends, and private offerings, and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained
• Partner with finance and treasury teams to assess and communicate tax impacts related to changes in capital structure
• Serve as the primary point of contact for front office tax trade surveillance, audits, and related inquiries
• Oversee the preparation, review, and timely submission of external information reporting forms and tax filings
• Manage U.S. withholding tax and reporting obligations for non U.S. investors, including oversight of 1042 and 1042 S processes and exception handling
• Drive process improvements across the tax lifecycle by enhancing data quality, documentation standards, and automation through use of AI and related tools
• Coordinate and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners including investment teams, advisors, administrators, prime brokers, and data vendors
• Support tax risk management efforts by ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies across a global investment platform
Requirements / Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required; CPA, MST, or JD preferred
• 5–12+ years of tax experience within financial services or alternative investment environments
• Strong knowledge of partnership taxation and complex fund structures
• Experience with U.S. withholding tax regimes and related reporting processes
• Background in tax reporting, filings, and interaction with tax authorities or examinations
• Proven ability to drive process improvements, with an emphasis on automation and data quality
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with large datasets or data tools
• Prior leadership or cross-functional coordination experience preferred
