Dynamic and Fully Blended Middle Office Trade Support and Fund Accounting Role with a Thriving multi-billion Hedge Fund in Dumbo, Brooklyn!


Company Information:

Multi-Billion Dollar Hedge Fund that makes long-term equity investments (both public and private) in exceptional teams in the emerging digital economies of the world. The firm specializes in internet and financial services investments in global growth markets.


Job Description:

• Accounting and operations related responsibilities on several fund structures with combined AUM of approximately $2 billion.
• Daily cash, position, and P&L reconciliations to the fund administrator.
• Review of the fund administrator reconciliations to third parties.
• Daily trade processing via SSC / Eze Tradar.
• Daily P&L and exposure reporting to senior management.
• Monthly close of books to validate fund NAV calculations prepared by the fund administrator.
• Review of monthly investor statements.
• Clear and settle trades with prime brokers and outsourced traders.
• Monitor fund expenditures and pay invoices.
• Interaction with senior management on various ad-hoc analyses of investment performance, exposure analysis, cash flow projections, and portfolio sizing.
• SEC and other regulatory filings (for example Form 13F, Form PF).
•Collaboration with the fund administrator and auditor on annual financial statements.


Requirements / Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred.
• 1+ years of experience at a public accounting firm or private buy-side investment manager. Experience auditing hedge funds
• Superior communications skills, particularly in written communications.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, inclusive of an ability to juggle multiple projects of varying priorities, across business segments and geographies, and to drive them all to completion without supervision.
• Ability to work both individually and collaboratively.
• Ownership mentality and an entrepreneurial approach to work.
• Experience with the Microsoft Suite required.
