Job Description:
- Manage the full life cycle of mandatory and voluntary corporate actions, from reviewing and communicating notifications to investment professionals up through election & final payment
- Heavy interaction with prime brokers and custodians regarding high priority inquiries and ad hoc requests
- Abide by the firm’s proxy policy and work with investment professionals to vote for upcoming meetings
- Monitor upcoming dividends; review dividends being processed on ex-date with corresponding withholding; investigate & resolve breaks in a timely manner
- Interact directly with all functional teams, across front and back office; follow team operational procedures and documentation; meet agreed upon Service Level Agreements
- Accurate and timely resolution of all dividend and corporate action exceptions highlighted via Quality Control reports and procedures
- Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve/automate process efficiencies and increase risk mitigation, with the help of AI; raise these ideas to Asset Servicing managers in thoughtful and well-prepared manner
- Strive to have in-depth understanding of how asset servicing event processing impacts P&L reporting
- Demonstrate professional maturity; consistent and balanced treatment and prioritization of all inbound requests; organized
- Possess sound business judgment; recognize when a request should be questioned; appropriately escalate upward for issues and approval
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, finance or other related fields
- 2+ years in an investment firm, bank or multi strategy hedge fund working in asset servicing
- Experience with Bloomberg, Reuters, S&P’s SaaS/IM Actions, and other core 3rd party data providers preferred
- Possess strong financial acumen and analytical skills
- Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
