Job Description:
  • Oversee and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Manage the accounting close process, including journal entries, reconciliations (bank, investment, etc.), accruals, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting, budgeting processes, and variance analyses to support management decisions.
  • Help maintain, document, and improve internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Lead and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders during year-end audit and tax reporting cycles.
  • Support management & performance fee calculations and prepare supporting schedules.
  • Generate reporting for limited partners and internal stakeholders, including portfolio company performance, capital activity, and other metrics.
  • Assist in integrating financial systems or platform improvements, process automation (e.g., via Excel macros or other tools), and enable scalable finance operations.

Requirements / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in private equity / fund accounting, financial services, or investment management.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, fund/private equity structures, side letters, waterfalls and fee calculations.
  • Proven experience with audits, tax reporting, internal controls, and financial forecasting.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting systems, Excel (including macros / automation), and comfortable learning/working with new reporting or fund administration platforms.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership, portfolio company teams, auditors, and L.P.s.
