Job Description:
- Daily management/monitoring of T+0 and T+1 PnL Reporting process
- Act with Fund Accounting to close Monthly NAVs
- Improve processes, models and systems to advance the analyses and risk management of the Valuation process
- Develop and enhance Valuation Policies
- Improve controls and documentation on level 3 assets
- Review of internal models and methodologies
- Manage 3rd party Valuation Agent relationships
- Prepare monthly Valuation Committee packet
- Deep analysis of level 3 assets
- Price testing and variance review
- Quantify and document valuation discrepancies outside of tolerances
- Oversee Administrator Valuation process
- Interact with Operations, Accounting, Traders, Risk and Senior Management regarding the policies and valuation of portfolio assets to resolve internal and external inquiries
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Schooling: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting or related field
- Experience: Minimum 6-7 years’ experience in valuation gained from an external price testing role or related roles that dealt with product valuations
- Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Strong Analytical/Quantitative skills
- Solid practical knowledge of financial products, pricing and portfolio valuation
- Quick learner and possess the ability to work effectively under pressure in a rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines
- Organized with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi task
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team or independently
- Experience with Collateralized Mortgage-Backed Securities and Private Placement investments is strongly preferred
