Job Description:
- Oversee tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions for the firm’s funds and management company
- Coordinate with fund administrators and outside tax advisers on allocations, estimates, and filings
- Prepare tax reconciliations and investor tax estimates
- Lead year-end tax planning and reporting
- Serve as a point of contact for investor tax questions in partnership with other internal teams
- Partner with Investment and Trading teams to improve fund tax efficiency
- Manage tax audits at the federal and state level
- Stay current on tax legislation changes relevant to the business
- Oversee tax filings for a principal’s family office and related charitable entities
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and expense management for the management company
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA required
- 8+ years of tax experience, ideally starting in public accounting before moving in-house at a fund or investment manager
- Highly commercial and creative thinker, able to develop practical solutions to complex tax matters
- Strong business partner mindset, using sound judgment in the firm’s best interest rather than a strictly by-the-book approach
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- High level of personal integrity and ethical standards
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment with a continuous-improvement mindset
