Job Description:
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Assist in monitoring project-specific expenditures and billings.
- Assist in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in other reporting for management
- Track expenses related to fiber construction projects, ensuring they are recorded accurately.
- Assist in creating and maintaining project-specific financial documentation.
- Assist in any payroll-related work, such as state registration and handling notices from the states.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to construction accounting.
- Support audit processes by preparing required documentation and reports.
- Help maintain accurate records of inventory, equipment, and other assets related to fiber construction.
- Perform various administrative and financial duties as assigned by senior accounting staff.
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems and processes.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction or telecommunications industry (internships count).
- Familiarity with NetSuite is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Ability to work under supervision and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the company.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
