Job Description:
  • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Assist in monitoring project-specific expenditures and billings.
  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in other reporting for management
  • Track expenses related to fiber construction projects, ensuring they are recorded accurately.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining project-specific financial documentation.
  • Assist in any payroll-related work, such as state registration and handling notices from the states.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to construction accounting.
  • Support audit processes by preparing required documentation and reports.
  • Help maintain accurate records of inventory, equipment, and other assets related to fiber construction.
  • Perform various administrative and financial duties as assigned by senior accounting staff.
  • Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems and processes.

Requirements / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction or telecommunications industry (internships count).
  • Familiarity with NetSuite is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • Ability to work under supervision and manage time efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the company.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
