A top private investment manager in New York City is looking for a senior operations professional to join their team in a strategic capacity, serving as the right hand to the global head of operations and will be responsible for management of a small team, project management, improving processes, and acting in a strategic operations capacity while directly supporting the trading desk as well.
Job Description:
- Responsible for trade capture, trade blotter reconciliations and resolution of exceptions
- Liaise between trading desk, prime brokers and custodians, and executing brokers to fix any trade related issues
- Facilitate trade settlement breaks and fails resolution
- Perform daily trade affirmation and confirmation to ensure trading activity is confirmed, allocated and communicated to all custodians and brokers
- Manage end of day processes, including reviewing daily trade blotter in OMS to ensure proper booking and allocations
- Oversee third-party middle office team tasked with first-level trade entry, confirmation and breaks/fails management
- Identify areas of improvement and implement new procedures or change existing process flows to ensure tight controls front to back
- Participate and contribute to the various strategic initiatives; keep improving and evolving processes and business architecture
Requirements / Qualifications:
- 5-12 years of experience
- Working with both public and private funds
