The client is a vertically integrated bitcoin financial services and infrastructure firm.
The client is seeking a dynamic finance professional to join their growing Finance team.
This person should be a self-starter who seeks to understand and is effective in driving excellence and efficiencies in daily processes. The role will focus on supporting the Controller who oversees the derivative trading and lending businesses within the Finance team and expand well beyond accounting with deliverables involving but not limited to, financial planning & analysis, and financial reporting. This role will have exposure to the CFO and the head of the trading desk.
Job Description:
● Support the month end financial statement close process for the Derivative Trading & Lending businesses and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
● Create processes and procedures for accounting activities.
● Daily revenue reporting: reconciling trading desk estimates to actuals, identifying variances and coordinating with relevant groups to resolve.
● Collaborate with the Finance team to prepare workpapers for external and internal audit.
● Collaborate with senior members of the finance team on ad hoc projects.
● Daily cash reporting: assist with monitoring and forecasting the cash flow and liquidity of the derivatives and lending businesses, managing the bank accounts and transactions, and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
● Automation: developing and implementing automated processes and systems to streamline and optimize the reporting workflow
Requirements / Qualifications:
● A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
● Certified Public accountant, public accounting experience preferred.
● At least 3 years of relevant experience working with or supporting a derivative trading or lending desk.
● Strong Microsoft Excel skills (v-look ups, if statements, pivots, data manipulation, etc.)
● Experience with Arcesium Financial Technology and Oracle Cloud a plus.
● Knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements and ratios, and regulatory standards.
● Background or experience in dealing with more complex financial transactions.
● Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
● Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
● Attention to detail, accuracy and quality.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
● Passion for working/supporting bitcoin or crypto industry.
