The firm offers a fast-paced, dynamic, and growing environment and the Senior Fund Associate will be responsible for supporting core activities to facilitate the successful execution and accounting for the various transactions undertaken by the firm.


Job Description:

The Senior Associate will play a critical role in the financial operations of the firm, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, compliance, and effective management of our investment funds. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Financial Reporting
    • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.
    • Assist with quarterly and annual reporting to Limited Partners, including partners capital statements, limited partner capital allocations, waterfalls, waived fee tracking, workbooks, and annual audit.
    • Handle bespoke or one-off requests from Limited Partners.
    • Assist with the quarterly valuation process and preparation of materials for Valuation Committee.
  • Fund Operations:
    • Draft capital call and distribution calculations and notices and review capital activity.
    • Maintain a database on fund and portfolio company activity, including cash flows, transaction multiples, co-investment, etc.
    • Prepare borrowing notices, compliance reporting and other deliverables to support the funds’ various credit facilities.
    • Assist with reviewing and sending wires for various deal related activities, including callback procedures and review of funds flow.
    • Assist with compliance related projects and regulatory filings.
    • Help track LPA and side letters to help monitor compliance.
  • Tax Compliance:
    • Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
    • Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
    • Understand structure and tax issues for funds, blockers, and investments generally.
    • Assist with tax compliance, including review of all partnership Form K-1s and returns and corporate entity returns.

Requirements / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA preferred but not required
  • Three to five total years of experience in fund accounting for alternative assets, specifically within private equity.  Will consider a Public + Private mix and/or relevant Private Side experience (only).
  • Strong understanding of private equity fund structures, investment strategies, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • General knowledge of fund accounting software
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in maintaining accurate and thorough financial records.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to analyze financial data and provide insights.
  • Communication: Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with investors, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Time Management: Efficient in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
