The Derivatives Trade Support team is responsible for the daily confirmation and settlement of fixed income, rates, credit, futures, FX and other OTC derivative products. The team is actively engaged with the firm’s Front Office, Back Office, Compliance and Technology teams to manage operational risks. The team also works very closely with all of the firm’s trading and clearing counterparties.


Job Description:
  • Manage a Trade Support Team responsible for supporting both macro and systematic trading strategies. Product coverage includes interest rate derivatives, credit derivatives, options, term loans, and other OTC derivatives.
  • Oversight and review of a SOC1 controlled process including position reconciliations, daily trade confirmation and exception management. Work with our prime brokers/FCMs and trading counterparties to resolve and minimize discrepancies.
  • Manage and participate in cross-functional projects that help support our growing Macro business.
  • Assist in responding to ad hoc queries from internal and external clients.
  • Participate in the new PM onboarding process.
  • Promote a team environment that focuses on continuous improvement of the Team’s processes via automation, efficiency, and control.

Requirements / Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in the Middle Office Operations function of a financial institution
  • Expert-level knowledge of interest FX and Futures derivatives
  • Experience working with MarkitWire, TradeServ, and ICELink trade affirmation platforms
  • Working knowledge of Murex and/or Orchestrade front-end systems is preferred
  • Prior leadership experience including managing multiple direct reports
  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, confident
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to a changing environment
  • Sophisticated presentation and project management skills
  • High attention to detail aimed at delivering a product that meets our best-in-class standards
  • A self-starter who can work independently with little or no direction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. A basic understanding of VBA is helpful but not required
