Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Manage the quarterly and annual financial reporting processes for investment holding companies in numerous jurisdictions, which involves interacting with advisory firms, auditors, and other service providers
- Manage a team of Senior Accountants
- Review quarterly and annual financial statements
- Review public and private portfolio company valuation models, ensuring consistent carrying values throughout each holding company structure and aligning to Fund values
- Review supporting schedules (such as cash reconciliations, interest calculations, company holding security reconciliations, investment cost schedules, etc.)
- Review investment/transaction related documents (e.g., Share Purchase Agreements, Loan Agreements, Articles of Incorporation, Corporate Resolutions, Board Minutes) to ensure proper financial statement reporting/disclosures
- Work closely with Fund Accounting, Cash Management, Tax, Custody, and Portfolio Analysis Teams
Requirements / Qualifications:
Key Priorities:
- MS in Accounting
- CPA required
- Audit Background – 5 years, at least 1 year as manager
- Private Equity and/or Alternative Investment experience required
- Experience reviewing financial statements prepared under US GAAP, applying the specialized accounting guidance of ASU 2013-08, Financial Services – Investment Companies (Topic 946).
- Must also be familiar with ASC 820, Fair Value Measurements and Disclosures
- The appropriate candidate for this position must have strong organizational and analytical skills, be very detail oriented, and have the ability to prioritize under pressure
- The ability to work well both independently and in teams
- Experience with Alteryx and Microsoft Power BI helpful
