Job Description:
  • The Management Company Accounting Team, an integral part of the broader Finance Team, is responsible for the accounting, reporting and operational activities of the firm’s four management companies. As a member of the Management Company Accounting Team, your main responsibilities will include:
  • Manage the Accounts Payable process
  • Assist in the implementation of StavPay, a vendor management and accounts payable system, including its integration into General Ledger System
  • Expense analysis, comparison to budget
  • Manage vendor relationships and overall vendor management
  • Quarterly billings to portfolio companies and Funds
  • Assist with various allocations of third-party service providers
  • Spearhead the Annual 1099 process, quarterly tax payments and reconciliations, and the quarterly Commercial Rent Tax
  • Manage wire template process to ensure all vendor banking details are accurately reflected in Firm’s banking platforms and AP system
  • Assist with monthly close process, annual expense budgeting and forecasting
  • Interaction with various teams across the Firm
  • Participate in technology and process initiatives
  • Assist Finance team as needed
  • Ad hoc requests and projects

Requirements / Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in public and private accounting with a focus on private equity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field and CPA a plus
  • Strong Excel skills, knowledge of general ledger systems
  • Experience with MS Dynamics and Concur a plus
  • Prior experience with Private Equity Funds or Management Company fund administrator
  • Proactive and positive mindset; ability to contribute and improve efficiency in all areas
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy; analytical mindset
  • Desire to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Team oriented and collaborative within Finance and across all internal groups within the Firm
  • Motivated self-starter with a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced growing firm
  • Sound judgment in handling highly confidential situations with professionalism and tact
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills
