Job Description:
The responsibilities and key tasks of the role include, but are not limited to:
Financial Control
▪ Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial close for several US operating entities, adhering to deadlines
▪ Oversee the work of Corporate Accountant and work closely with the Senior Financial Controller in London to ensure connectivity between US and Group
▪ Develop and maintain understanding of the Credit business division, preparing monthly analysis for the platform
▪ Manage audit requirements for US entities
▪ Leverage leadership skills to actively contribute to other areas of Finance team mandate, as required
▪ Organization and documentation of processes, with goal of continuous improvement
Operational Excellence
▪ Actively manage banking and liquidity requirements of the business, and ownership for the delivery of effective working capital management
▪ Manage outsourced accounts payable function, being a team of 3 external AP data entry specialists
▪ Oversight of the preparation of and delivery of weekly payment runs and bi-monthly payroll
▪ Monitoring and collecting of balances owed to the firm from various managed funds and third party entities (including expenses, management and incentive fees)
▪ Leverage exceptional stakeholder management skills to facilitate good relationships and communication between Finance and Executives and wider business Financial Planning & Analysis
▪ Potential to expand role into budget and other projects as required Tax
▪ Work with internal and external tax specialists on US tax compliance deliverables
▪ Familiarity with annual 1099 processing
Requirements / Qualifications:
Education and Training
CPA with 7+ years experience
Professional Experience
Strong experience in an Investment firm or similar corporate Financial Services environment
The successful candidate will demonstrate a track record in the delivery of excellent financial control in a role with operational responsibilities and oversight
