Job Description:
Job Overview: We seek to hire a full time Valuation and FX Trading associate
Responsibilities:
- Price positions daily, review, and send out nightly P&L to the firm working closely with trading desk. Modeling of derivatives in Bloomberg also required as part of the daily/monthly process
- Gather, review, analyze, and input month end marks from vendors and brokers. Work with the traders and investment professionals throughout the valuation process
- Assist in preparing and presenting valuation committee package to senior management on the Valuation Committee
- Prepare monthly documentation supporting the valuation process
- Assist in valuation aspect of the year-end audit
- Prepare requests for accounting and investor relations as required
- Quarterly deliverables (i.e. ASC 820 leveling and Form PF)
- Continually work on to improve the valuation process including updating the Valuation Policy as required
- Initiating FX trades with various banks and negotiating pricing on those trades
- Build and maintain strong relationships with our trading partners
- Evaluating changes in margin excess/deficits and meeting margin calls
Requirements / Qualifications:
Required Background and Qualifications:
- Minimum of a 4 year degree
- Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment
- Advance knowledge of Excel
