Summary

A leading alternative asset manager are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Private Credit investment team as a VP or Associate, depending on experience. This role will play a key part in the origination, evaluation, execution, and monitoring of private credit investments.

Job Description:
  • Perform in-depth credit analysis and financial modeling of potential investment opportunities.

  • Conduct company, industry, and market due diligence including management meetings, legal review, and third-party consultant engagement.

  • Lead or support preparation of investment memos and presentation of recommendations to the Investment Committee.

  • Negotiate and review term sheets, credit agreements, and related documentation in coordination with legal counsel and deal team.

  • Monitor portfolio company performance and proactively identify emerging risks or covenant concerns.

  • Participate in quarterly valuation processes, updates to internal reporting models, and investor reporting deliverables.

  • Interact with management teams and sponsors to understand business trends, operational updates, and strategic developments.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with investment banks, financial sponsors, consultants, and other market participants.

  • Source and evaluate new investment opportunities through existing and newly developed channels.

  • Coordinate closely with finance, operations, legal, and compliance teams during the investment lifecycle.

  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and support fundraising, marketing, and LP reporting efforts as needed.


Requirements / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred but not required.

  • 3–6 years of experience in private credit, leveraged finance, investment banking, or direct lending.

  • Prior experience with middle-market transactions or sponsor-backed credit deals is highly desirable.

  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both verbal and written.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

  • High degree of integrity, work ethic, and a collaborative mindset.

  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
