Job Description:
THE ROLE
The Fund Accountant will be a key member of the business team’s day-to-day, reporting to the Controller and assisting in the implementation of accounting, operations, and reporting procedures. The Fund Accountant will be responsible for preparing daily and monthly deliverables.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reviewing daily cash and position reconciliations to counterparties
• Coordinating expense allocation and processing
• Overseeing monthly reconciliation to the 3rd party administrator at the portfolio and investor levels
• Reviewing external reporting deliverables
• Updating existing internal reports and developing new reports when necessary
• Analyzing and reviewing regulatory filings, including Form PF
• Coordinating audit and tax deliverables
• Managing and reviewing investor data requests
• Preparing and reviewing the Fund budget
• Maintaining updated documentation of accounting, operations, and reporting procedures
Requirements / Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
• Undergraduate Accounting Degree
• Minimum 3 years+ of Public Accounting, ideally within the financial services group
• Experience in private sector or in-house at a firm is a plus
• Strong Excel Skills
• Possesses outstanding judgment and effective interpersonal skills
• Strong detail orientation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Superior planning and organizational skills
