Job Description:
Reporting and Communication:
• Prepare investment memos and reports for presentation to the investment committee.
• Demonstrate the ability to sit in on board of directors meetings, and effectively represent the firms investment positions where applicable.
Market Research:
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market dynamics relevant to our investment focus.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and threats.
Deal Sourcing and Evaluation:
• Conduct initial screening and due diligence on potential investments.
• Analyze financials, market trends, and competitive landscapes to assess investment viability.
Due Diligence:
• Collaborate with the investment team to perform in-depth due diligence on target companies.
• Assess business models, market positioning, and technology innovation.
• Analyze legal, financial, and operational aspects of potential investments.
Financial Modeling and Analysis:
• Create and maintain detailed financial models to support investment decisions.
• Evaluate and structure complex financial transactions, including equity investments and convertible debt.
Deal Negotiation and Portfolio Management:
• Negotiate, and structure investment terms with new/legacy portfolio companies, while liaising with legal and specialist teams advising the firm.
• Monitor the performance of existing portfolio companies and assist in strategic decision-making.
Traditional Asset Management:
• Contribute to the management of traditional asset classes within the family office portfolio.
• Perform research and analysis on stocks, bonds, and other traditional investments.
Requirements / Qualifications:
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of venture capital, startup ecosystems, and emerging technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field; MBA or CFA is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, traditional asset management, or a similar field.
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
